Senior Software Engineer - Commerce Platform

Employment type: FULLTIME. Unity’s commerce systems power the business infrastructure behind our developer ecosystem — from licensing and subscriptions to in-editor purchases and platform integrations. At the heart of this architecture is commerce services: backend-for-frontend (BFF) services and integrations that encapsulates business logic and service orchestration for our commerce platform.

The Core Commerce Backend team plays a pivotal role in unifying frontend experiences with backend systems such as commercetools, user identity, entitlement services, and pricing logic. We are looking for a Backend Engineer to lead architecture and implementation efforts across Bridge’s Typescript-based services.

You’ll design reliable, scalable APIs and evolve our backend foundation to support a growing suite of commerce experiences. What you'll be doing As a Senior Backend Engineer you will be expected to be able to:

• Take a partially defined specification, understand the underlying requirement and problem and turn it into either a detailed specification for a less senior engineer or deliver the solution yourself.
• Work closely with business, IT partners (business analysts and project managers) and the integration team to understand and solve business problems.
