About the role

The Electricity Maps API is our core commercial product - it's what companies rely on to make decisions about energy consumption or buying, emissions reporting, and grid-aware operations. Alongside it, our free map has become a reference point for the energy world.

It's pulled up by the biggest news outlets covering energy stories, presented on stage at industry conferences worldwide, and used daily by traders reading the grid.
