DanChurch Social/Kirkens Korshær is looking for a new employee for YouPeople Morgencafé

YouPeople is a morning café for homeless and socially vulnerable people under DanChurch Social (Kirkens Korshær). We are located at Stengade 40 in Nørrebro and are open Wednesday-Sunday.

About us

Our doors are open to everyone, but most of our users are homeless migrants from around the world who have come to Denmark looking for work. We offer basic care, food, clothing, showers, laundry service, and a sense of community. We aim to provide a space where people can feel safe to be themselves and seek shelter from the chaos of life on the street. We are visited by 45-100 users each day.

About the role

You will be one of two permanent employees in the morning cafe, which is in the same building as our night department, Natcafeen. As a member of the day staff, you have a key role in supporting both our daytime users, as well as the night staff. This role requires someone who is a “jack of all trades”- you can wear many different hats and thrive in a work environment where no day is the same.

We are looking for someone who excels in the following:

• - Varmestue work - We are a busy space where there is always a lot going on.
• You feel comfortable being one of two main points of contact for up to 100 users at a time.
