Senior researcher position combined with a clinical professorship in translational molecular neuropathology and biomarker studies

A clinical position as senior researcher of molecular neurobiology at the Centre for Neuroscience and Stereology, Department of Neurology at Copenhagen University Hospital – Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg is open for appointment from as soon as possible.

The position is combined with with a 5-year externally funded position as clinical professor of Department of Clinical Medicine at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. It is a requirement that the applicant is accepted for appointment of both the professorship and the clinical position.

About the department of Neurology We are a department with a high level of expertise and activity, handling over 15.000 patient contacts annually. The Neurology Department diagnoses and treats patients with diseases related to the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. This includes, in particular, stroke, movement disorders, epilepsy, brain tumors, headaches, and head trauma.

Under the broader category of movement disorders and neurodegenerative diseases, conditions such as Parkinson's disease, atypical parkinsonism, dystonia (including treatment with botulinum toxin), and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS/MND) are included.
