PhD scholarship in Silicon Quantum Electrodynamics at the Deep Nanoscale - DTU Electro
Kort om jobbet
Join the next generation of European quantum technology researchers. DTU Electro invites applications for a fully funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Candidate position, within the Horizon Europe Doctoral Network QUEST – Quantum Electrodynamics with Silicon Nanotechnology.
QUEST brings together leading European universities, research institutes, and innovative companies to advance quantum technologies through silicon nanotechnology. Within this network, you will be one of 15 doctoral candidates working on complementary research projects spanning semiconductor materials, nanofabrication, quantum photonics, quantum electrodynamics, advanced characterization, and theoretical modeling.
For this PhD project, we are looking for a bright student to join the Photonic Nanotechnology group at DTU Electro and work on theory, design, and modeling of novel optical cavities with deep subwavelength confinement and unprecedented light-matter interactions.
Using numerical simulations and modal expansions of electromagnetic fields, you will design silicon nanostructures for practical quantum optics experiments with given specifications needed for fabrication and subsequent measurements by the project partners. Based on the theory, you will set up appropriate models to enable interpretation of the experimental results1 …
