Data Center Facilities Technician II, Electrical

Minimum qualifications

Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of electrical experience (e.g., electrical testing equipment or electrical distribution) in industrial or commercial environment.

Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying or moving up to 50 lbs (23 kg) of equipment, the required use of safety equipment such as limited weight bearing work platforms, ladders, step stools and personal protective equipment (PPE) like safety harnesses in accordance with safety and ergonomic guidelines and assessments. Ability to work non-standard hours and work rotations/shifts.

Preferred qualifications

Experience in data centers, hospitals, or power plants. Experience in electrical maintenance in critical large scale facilities (Data Center, Pharma, Medical or Electrical) including UPS, generators, LV/MV switchgear Strong electrical safety awareness and ability to develop switching procedures and RAMS.

Knowledge of electrical systems used in a data center environment (e.g., Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units).
