TRANSPARENT MATCHING

How matching works

Careers Denmark compares the facts in public job ads with what you choose to share about your career. You see what fits, what is missing and what we don't know, so the decision stays yours.

THE PROMISE

Clear reasons, no black box.

Today's match score is made up of named parts, such as role, field, level and place, so you can see what pulled it up or down. Some parts still rest on our reading of your CV or the job ad, and that reading can be wrong.

You can see the strongest reasons and the known limits, correct your profile and use ordinary filters. If we don't know something, we show it as unknown, not as a poor match. You decide what to apply for.

WHAT COMES NEXT

The next version of matching is still being tested.

It is not switched on yet. It will compare the facts in a job ad with what your CV shows, and every fact will point back to where it came from. Until it has passed our tests, we keep using today's matching.

WHAT WILL BE COMPARED

Ten things the next version will compare.

The list shows what we are working towards, not what matching does today. Today's matching uses fewer named parts, with the limits described above.

KNOWLEDGE WE ARE BUILDING

Seven areas of knowledge can make matches more precise.

None of them is in use yet. Each one must cover enough sources, have a clear rule for comparing and pass our tests before we call it part of the product.

SAFETY BY DESIGN

What the match never uses.

Matching never uses things protected by discrimination law, such as gender, ethnicity, religion or disability. It also ignores how prestigious your school is and anything used as a stand-in for your age. Your name, phone number, photo, video and whether recruiters can see you do not affect your match score.

  • When we don't know enough, we show it.
  • Your documents and history stay in your account.
  • You can correct how we read your CV before you rely on it.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Bring your CV. Make your own choices.

Start with one readable CV, check how we have read it and choose which jobs are worth your time. You can always correct what we have read.
