Opportunity summary

Are you interested in contributing to solve the energy crisis by developing a clean and sustainable energy source which replicates the Sun on Earth? Would you like to work in a team with a strong feeling of purpose and belonging?

In the Section for Plasma Physics and Fusion Energy (PPFE) at the Department of Physics, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), we conduct research in plasma physics that contributes to paving the way for future fusion power plants.

Fusion is the process that powers the Sun, and fusion research aims to develop safe, clean, CO₂-neutral power generation based on the same principles, while utilizing abundant fuel resources available on Earth. DTU is currently establishing a national infrastructure for fusion research and technology that will serve as a focal point for both academic and industrial activities in fusion energy.

Specifically, the infrastructure will include a novel type of fusion device that could contribute to the realization of fusion-based power plants.
