Professional Services & Consulting (broad employer-services fallback). We are looking for a highly motivated and independent staff scientist to support our efforts in research, student supervision and teaching on various projects in molecular biology and protein science. The position is open from January 1st, 2027.
Our research You will be employed in the section for Biomolecular Sciences (BMS), which harbors 12 independent research groups. Research in the section covers a range of fundamental protein biomolecular topics primarily investigated in a cellular context. Techniques include NMR spectroscopy, computational biology, protein design and sophisticated directed evolution selection systems.
You will be associated with two of the BMS research groups. In the Hartmann-Petersen lab, the group investigates how cells maintain protein homeostasis through the protein quality control (PQC) system and how defects in these pathways contribute to disease.
Research activities combine molecular genetics, functional genomics, and advanced high-throughput technologies to dissect the mechanisms governing protein folding, degradation, and cellular stress responses1 …
