Job description The postdoc will work with the Horizon-funded FEMVision project, which targets online visual misogyny. The project studies how misogyny circulates through images and memes in everyday digital spaces.
The candidate will participate in the project's computational analysis, including fine-tuning and validating a multimodal large language model classifier for visual misogyny, benchmarked against expert human coders.
Building on this classifier, the Postdoc will conduct semantic clustering of the visual corpus to map the iconographic and thematic repertoires of online misogyny, and analyze how users react to and negotiate misogynistic content across platforms. The ideal candidate has experience with computational social science methods and has worked with using LLMs for complex data annotation and validation.
