Purpose of the position
The Cloud Engineer is a hands-on technical specialist responsible for managing, developing, and governing the Azure environment, Power Platform solutions, and Azure DevOps. The role ensures automation, security, and compliance through the implementation of policies and guardrails, while supporting development teams with best practices and CI/CD processes.
This position includes an internal project leadership function for owned deliverables. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Service Management Azure Cloud Services: Operate and maintain Azure services, perform performance tuning and cost optimization, and monitor using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. Manage the lifecycle of cloud services, including onboarding, change management, and decommissioning.
Act as the primary escalation point for cloud service issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams and vendors. Security & Compliance Governance & Security:
- Develop and enforce Azure Policies and guardrails, ensure compliance with Zero Trust principles, and collaborate with Security Operations for incident handling.
- Ensure cloud environments comply with internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
