169947 Søg stillingen Are you interested in remote sensing and greenhouse-gas monitoring, and can you contribute to the development of the GHG-MONITOR project? Then the Department of Geoscience, Aarhus University, invites you to apply for a 19-month postdoctoral position.

Job description The postdoctoral researcher will be part of the GHG-MONITOR project, which develops a drone-based method for monitoring greenhouse-gas emissions using a hyperspectral camera. We are currently focusing on methane. The work will include processing and analysing hyperspectral observations and developing and validating methods for quantifying methane emissions.

A special focus will be on exploring how our local drone data can be combined with satellite observations, using machine learning and other modelling approaches, to improve methane emission monitoring efforts. The position includes field campaigns that the candidate should be open to join.

The postdoc will collaborate with researchers and external partners and contribute to publications, project reporting and the delivery of the project’s monitoring solution1 …
