Steel Fitters Key tasks

Your job as steel fitter will be responsible for assembling, positioning, aligning, and fitting structural steel components to create frameworks for buildings, bridges, ships, and heavy machinery. Your key responsibilities & duties will include: · Blueprint Interpretation:

Study engineering drawings, blueprints, and material lists to plan the sequence of tasks and determine material requirements. · Layout and Fabrication:

Layout reference points and patterns on heavy metal to prepare for cutting, bending, and forming. · Assembly and Fitting:

Assemble, align, and fit metal sections and plates to form complete units or subunits, using tack welding, bolting, or riveting. · Machine Operation:

Operate heavy-duty machinery such as cranes, shearers, brake presses, grinders, drills, and cutting torches to prepare components. · Quality Inspection:
